A Brief Summary

So This is How it Starts

Josie and I started dating soon after she got home from her mission, and it has been so fun. We have had a really good relationship because we put each other first. We've had some late nights working through things and have had our challenges, but we love each other and work through everything together.

Josie and I have bIg PlANs. We're so excited to go back to Utah State and more so together. Logan is a city that is a symbol for us of independence and freedom. It's so exciting to look forward to the endless possibilities. Josie and I dream about all of the things we want to do.

Big Plans

I write this blog with the intention of wondering where we'll land based on our plans and aspiration when we're 21, so I don't want to hold back any of our ideas because I'm really curious our of our stance in 5, 10, or 30 years.

Minimalism: I really like a minimalist culture and not living above our needs. Josie categorizes me more as a essentialist which is probably a better representation, but I really like Japanese art and design.

A Dining Table: Josie and I want to have a nice dining table that can convert to a board game table. Our design is strongly adapted from Geek Dad's Website. We started on it a couple of weeks ago and here is some of the pictures so far.

This is the beginning of the project. The table has a recess where you can take the top off and play board games underneath.

We decided on the stain color that we wanted to put on. It's a gray-brown color. It's called ebony. My dad thinks that it will be really dark, but Josie and I are optimistic.

This is us trying to flatten the top piece to get rid of the bow in the top plywood.

Our Apartment's Vibes

Josie and I really want an apartment that people feel comfortable coming to and spending time. We have spent a lot of time and ~money~ building an apartment that we are proud of and want people to come to.

Potter's Wheel

We also have a hug love of ceramics and art. I won't tell you how many ceramic mugs Josie has bought over the years, but we love the art and creating of it. We both really want to own a Potter's wheel at some point and make some of our own plates, cups, and bowls.

Future House Features

We both want a big library. For me, I think this goes beyond just books. I want a large collection of music, movies and board games. I've often fantasized about having a library tower in our future home which would be a really cool place to study.

I would love to have a small greenhouse by the kitchen to grab some quick herbs or small vegetables. We both love plants and the sustainability of it. We already own quite a bit of house plants *rip Ferry*.

Sustainability

We like to try our best to protect the Earth. A big feat but we try to do our part. We have looked at buying composters and we try to recycle whenever we can. We have even eliminated paper towels from our daily use.

This is a summary of a lot of the things that Josie and I value, and I'm curious of all of the places that we will go.
